Hi! I’m Amanda Harris (AKA Mother Goosey). Before starting Mother Goosey I was a working dog mom, gone 55+ hours a week managing a restaurant & stressed out about leaving my Bernese Mountain Dog (Goose) in daycare. Being that Goose had separation anxiety, it was difficult to find a dog care facility that I felt comfortable keeping her in. Every dog facility I checked out had more dogs than I could count and I really wondered if she was going to be given any attention throughout the day.

My initial idea of Mother Goosey was to provide a safe, happy place that would eliminate those worries that I once had. I wanted to create an open space for dogs, without the use of kennels and closed walls. I understand the anxiety your dog feels when you are not around and sympathize with those that have to leave their pets at home all day.

Having left the restaurant industry behind, I am able to dedicate 100% of my time towards doing what I love. Mother Goosey is a small one-person operation where I can provide each dog with undivided attention every day of the week. My services include walks, hikes, runs, house visits, overnight care and much more. Every dog has plenty of personal space and separate living quarters if necessary. I cater to you and your dogs specific needs, making sure your dog is always healthy, happy and stress free.

At Mother Goosey dogs have their own play room with multiple beds & unlimited toys with an entrance that opens up to my personal living room & kitchen. The play room also connects to a fully private fenced yard with room for the dogs to play outside & enjoy fresh air.  Mother Goosey is located in a quiet suburb area of Westchester, conveniently 2 miles from LAX. I provide a safe, smoke-free second home for your dogs where they can feel comfortable and at ease.

Mother Goosey is open 365 days a year! I only take in up to 3 dogs at a time so please book as far in advance as possible so I can do my best to accommodate your reservation requests.
